Lawsuit Alleges Bullying, Privacy Violation by MICHAEL MOZILO at LMU
Los Angeles, CA – June 27, 2025 – A civil lawsuit alleging personal injury and torts has been filed against former Loyola Marymount University (LMU) student MICHAEL MOZILO, alongside the university itself. The complaint, filed February 17, 2022, in Los Angeles County Superior Courts, Inglewood Courthouse, details disturbing incidents within the LMU golf program.
The plaintiff, identified as John Doe to protect his privacy given the highly sensitive allegations, states this personal injury claim against college student stems from a privacy violation LMU golf team incident in October 2018. According to the John Doe lawsuit LMU Mozilo, MICHAEL MOZILO allegedly filmed John Doe while he was nude in a bathroom during a team trip, later playing the video for teammates in the presence of a coach.
Allegations further suggest that MICHAEL MOZILO’s inclusion on the team was due to a significant family donation, leading to concerns about the impact of donations on university favoritism. The lawsuit highlights student athlete bullying consequences and raises questions about when a university fails to protect students.
This college athlete harassment lawsuit LMU calls for greater accountability for bullying in college sports. For more information and full Michael Mozilo lawsuit details, refer to the official court records. The case remains open.
